This piece is part of a series of musical conversations that I have developed annually. This year, I drew inspiration from the musical dialogues commonly found in jazz. In jazz, the structure typically begins with a unified theme performed by the ensemble, followed by individual musicians improvising within the framework of the piece’s chord progressions. I employed this musical concept to ensure that each participant has the opportunity to showcase their talents as soloists while also contributing to the collective conversation among the musicians. My approach introduces a creative twist, enhancing the interplay of ideas within the ensemble.
